Key Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and diagnostic evaluations for adult patients.
* Diagnose and manage adult mental health conditions including mood disorders, anxiety-related presentations, psychosis, trauma-related concerns, and complex behavioral health needs.
* Develop individualized treatment plans using pharmacological care, psychotherapy-informed interventions, lifestyle guidance, and coordinated follow-up.
* Provide medication management, monitor treatment response, adjust prescriptions when required, and identify side effects or safety concerns.
* Work closely with psychologists, social workers, primary care providers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic mental health care.
* Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation using EMR systems and approved healthcare record standards.
* Participate in case conferences, peer reviews, clinical governance meetings, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
* Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, treatment options, coping strategies, relapse prevention, and long-term wellness planning.
* Apply trauma-informed care principles when supporting patients with sensitive histories or complex emotional needs.
* Uphold ethical standards, patient confidentiality, DHA regulations, and clinical governance protocols.
* Support a culturally respectful care environment that improves trust, engagement, and treatment adherence among Arabic-speaking and multicultural patients.
Ideal Profile
* Medical degree with recognized specialization in Psychiatry.
* Consultant-level certification such as UK CCT, Arab Board, or equivalent recognized qualification.
* Minimum 5 years of post-specialization experience in adult psychiatry.
* Fluency in Arabic, both spoken and written, is essential.
* DHA eligibility or willingness to obtain required licensure.
* Female candidates are preferred for gender-sensitive patient engagement.
* Strong experience in trauma-informed care, mood disorders, psychosis, and adult psychiatric treatment.
* Familiarity with EMR systems and digital health tools.
