What Does a Consultant Radiologist Do?
- Interpret a wide range of diagnostic images including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasounds
- Provide expert radiological opinions and timely reporting to referring clinicians
- Assist in diagnosis and treatment planning by collaborating with physicians and surgeons
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and ethical medical practices during procedures
- Supervise junior radiologists, radiographers, and trainees, fostering professional growth
- Engage in quality assurance and support the development of imaging protocols
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Conduct accurate image analysis and produce high-quality diagnostic reports

What Skills Are Needed for a Consultant Radiologist in Dubai?
Education:
- Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) from an accredited institution
- Completion of a recognized Radiology residency program
- Subspecialty fellowship (preferred) in diagnostic or interventional radiology
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of post-specialization experience in radiology
- Strong background in cross-sectional imaging and multi-modality interpretation
Skills:
- Excellent interpretive and analytical skills in radiographic imaging
- Proficiency with PACS and radiology reporting systems
- Strong communication skills for multidisciplinary collaboration
- Meticulous attention to detail and patient safety
- Fluency in English; Arabic language is a plus
