The consultant will provide evidence-based care covering injury prevention, non-surgical management, rehabilitation, performance optimization, concussion management, and return-to-play assessment while working closely with a multidisciplinary sports medicine team.

Clinical Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage sports-related injuries and musculoskeletal conditions
through comprehensive clinical assessment and functional evaluation.
- Conduct fitness-for-sport assessments and support safe participation in physical activity.
- Develop and oversee individualized treatment and rehabilitation programs.
- Make evidence-based return-to-play decisions following injury or rehabilitation.
- Assess and manage sports-related concussion according to appropriate clinical protocols.
- Perform sports medicine procedures, including injections and ultrasound-guided interventions where clinically indicated.
- Provide non-surgical management for musculoskeletal injuries and related conditions.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with applicable regulatory, accreditation, and patient safety standards.
Athlete Rehabilitation and Performance
The consultant will support injury prevention, rehabilitation, and performance optimization for athletes and physically active patients. Clinical management will incorporate functional recovery and appropriate return-to-sport strategies based on the patient\'s condition, rehabilitation progress, and physical demands.
Experience managing elite athletes, professional sports teams, and active populations is preferred.
Multidisciplinary Sports Medicine
- Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, physiotherapists, rehabilitation specialists, radiologists, nutritionists, and sports scientists.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions.
- Coordinate integrated treatment and rehabilitation strategies.
- Educate athletes and coaches regarding injury prevention, rehabilitation, and performance optimization.
- Provide clinical education and guidance to healthcare professionals involved in sports medicine services.
Qualifications
- MBBS, MD, or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
- Completion of approved residency training.
- Fellowship or Board Certification in Sports Medicine or Sport and Exercise Medicine.
- Family Medicine with a Sports Medicine Fellowship, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with Sports Medicine specialization, or an equivalent recognized qualification may also be considered.
- Appropriate professional registration and good standing certification.
- Eligibility for appropriate Consultant-level medical licensing in Dubai.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of post-board or fellowship experience as a Consultant in Sports Medicine.
