The consultant will provide evidence-based assessment and treatment for athletes and active individuals, supporting injury prevention, recovery, safe return to sport, and performance optimization.
The position involves management of acute and chronic sports injuries, individualized rehabilitation planning, athlete assessment, exercise prescription, and close collaboration with orthopedic surgeons, physiotherapists, radiologists, rehabilitation specialists, and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic sports-related injuries and musculoskeletal conditions.
- Conduct comprehensive sports medicine assessments and develop individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans.
- Manage muscle, ligament, tendon, joint, and overuse injuries.
- Perform and interpret appropriate clinical investigations and imaging.
- Provide ultrasound-guided procedures and injections where appropriately trained.
- Develop injury prevention, rehabilitation, and return-to-sport programs.
- Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, physiotherapists, radiologists, rehabilitation specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Conduct pre-participation and fitness assessments for athletes.
- Support performance optimization through appropriate exercise prescription.
- Monitor recovery and adjust treatment and rehabilitation plans according to clinical progress.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow evidence-based guidelines.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical education, and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Requirements
- MBBS, MD, or equivalent medical degree.
- Recognized Specialist or Consultant qualification in Sports Medicine or an equivalent relevant specialty.
- Appropriate UAE professional license or eligibility for Consultant-level licensing in Dubai.
- Significant post-specialization experience in Sports Medicine and musculoskeletal care.
- Strong clinical experience diagnosing and managing sports injuries.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
