Role Context
The Food and Beverage Server - Restaurant Service will support daily restaurant and outlet operations across Atlantis The Palm’s diverse dining portfolio. Depending on skills and experience, candidates may be considered for future full-time opportunities such as Attendant Food and Beverage, Waiter, Waitress, Head Waiter, Head Waitress, Captain, Supervisor, or Outlet Assistant Manager. The role requires confident guest interaction, menu knowledge, service timing, teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to enhance revenue through thoughtful recommendations and professional upselling.
Core Duties
* Welcome guests warmly and create a positive first impression within the assigned restaurant, lounge, bar, or dining outlet.
* Present menus, explain dishes, highlight promotions, and provide clear information about ingredients, dining concepts, and guest preferences.
* Take food and beverage orders accurately and communicate requirements clearly to kitchen, bar, and service teams.
* Serve meals, beverages, condiments, and guest requests in line with outlet standards and luxury hospitality expectations.
* Use upselling techniques naturally by recommending signature dishes, premium beverages, add-ons, specials, and dining experiences.
* Monitor tables throughout service to ensure guests receive timely attention, clean settings, refills, and follow-up support.
* Assist with table setup, mise en place, side station preparation, cutlery, glassware, menus, and restaurant cleanliness.
* Handle guest concerns professionally and escalate complex matters to supervisors or outlet managers when needed.
* Support VIP guests, celebrity guests, families, groups, repeat visitors, and special occasions with care and discretion.
* Coordinate with culinary, bar, stewarding, reservations, host, cashier, and management teams to maintain smooth service flow.
* Follow hygiene, food safety, grooming, cash handling, allergy awareness, and service sequence standards at all times.
* For senior service roles, guide junior colleagues, monitor sections, support shift briefings, manage guest flow, and assist with daily outlet performance.
* Contribute to revenue growth, guest satisfaction scores, repeat business, and the overall reputation of Atlantis Resorts dining experiences.
Ideal Profile
* Previous experience in food and beverage service, restaurant operations, hotel dining, luxury hospitality, casual dining, fine dining, or resort outlets is preferred.
* Candidates from different service levels may be considered for future full-time food and beverage opportunities.
* Strong spoken English with a confident, polite, and guest-friendly communication style.
* Good understanding of restaurant service flow, table setup, order taking, guest care, and basic food and beverage knowledge.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy, energy, and professional appearance.
* Comfortable serving varied guests including VIPs, celebrities, families, groups, and international visitors.
* Positive attitude with strong teamwork, flexibility, reliability, and willingness to learn.
* Supervisory experience is an advantage for Captain, Supervisor, Head Waiter, Head Waitress, or Outlet Assistant Manager roles.
* Knowledge of upselling, menu presentation, guest preferences, and service recovery is beneficial.
