Role Context
The General Practitioner - Community OPD Care will provide front-line medical care in an outpatient setting, supporting patients with routine health concerns, acute symptoms, chronic disease management, health checks, and preventive medicine. The role contributes to better patient access, continuity of care, community trust, and efficient clinical service delivery in Al Karama, Dubai.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver comprehensive general practice consultations using evidence-based clinical standards and safe medical decision-making.
* Assess, diagnose, and manage a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions in an OPD clinic setting.
* Conduct routine health check-ups, patient reviews, medical assessments, and follow-up consultations.
* Request and interpret laboratory tests, diagnostic investigations, and clinical results to support accurate care plans.
* Prescribe medicines, treatments, and follow-up instructions while ensuring safe and effective patient care.
* Promote preventive healthcare through wellness advice, patient education, lifestyle guidance, and early risk identification.
* Maintain accurate, confidential, and compliant patient records according to clinic and healthcare standards.
* Refer patients to specialists when required and coordinate care with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
* Provide urgent care support within clinic scope when immediate patient attention is needed.
* Build long-term patient relationships through empathy, clear communication, and consistent medical follow-up.
Ideal Profile
The ideal candidate should be a qualified General Practitioner with solid OPD or primary healthcare experience, DHA license or eligibility, and the ability to work confidently in a high-volume community clinic. Strong patient communication, cultural understanding, and clinical accuracy are important for this position.
* MBBS, MD, or equivalent medical qualification from a recognized institution.
* DHA License or DHA Eligibility as a General Practitioner.
* Minimum 3+ years of clinical experience in general practice, family medicine, or primary healthcare.
* Strong background in outpatient clinics, OPD care, community healthcare, or ambulatory medical services.
* Completed internship with good practical clinical exposure.
* Valid BLS certification is required.
* ACLS certification is an advantage.
* Fluency in English and Tagalog is required.
* Arabic language skills are an advantage.
* Filipino nationality is strongly preferred due to the clinic’s patient demographic.
