Role Context
The General Practitioner serves as an autonomous clinical professional responsible for delivering comprehensive healthcare services to patients across a wide range of medical conditions. This role supports preventive care, diagnosis, treatment, and long-term disease management while contributing to operational excellence, teamwork, and patient satisfaction within the clinic.
Key Responsibilities
Provide a full range of general medical services including consultations, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care for patients.
Conduct in-person consultations, telephone consultations, medical assessments, and timely management of patient queries.
Assess patients presenting with undifferentiated and undiagnosed health concerns and establish appropriate treatment pathways.
Develop personalized healthcare plans in consultation with patients based on current disease management protocols.
Provide preventive healthcare advice and patient education related to chronic illnesses, lifestyle management, and wellness.
Maintain clear, accurate, and contemporaneous consultation notes in compliance with clinical standards.
Complete referrals for specialist consultations, diagnostic testing, and follow-up reporting when required.
Review investigation results and communicate findings and treatment plans effectively to patients.
Prescribe medications in accordance with approved prescribing guidelines and clinic protocols.
Attend clinical meetings, case discussions, and multidisciplinary team meetings as required.
Provide mentoring and clinical support for junior colleagues and contribute to staff development.
Ensure compliance with confidentiality, infection control, health and safety, data protection, and all organizational policies.
Participate in mandatory training, audits, appraisals, and reflective clinical practice activities.
Ideal Profile
Medical degree with valid General Practitioner licensing and UAE eligibility.
Previous clinical experience as a General Practitioner in a clinic, hospital, or polyclinic setting preferred.
Strong understanding of chronic disease management including diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and cardiac care.
Ability to work independently as an autonomous practitioner while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Excellent patient communication and consultation skills.
Strong documentation and medical reporting standards.
Commitment to evidence-based practice and patient-centered care.
Professional attitude with high ethical and confidentiality standards.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced healthcare environment.
