Role Context
The Head of Finance - Healthcare will act as a strategic finance partner to executive leadership, helping shape business direction through accurate financial insight, disciplined governance, and strong commercial analysis. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the role carries responsibility for financial performance, forecasting accuracy, investment decision support, internal controls, and divisional finance operations. The position is especially important in a healthcare environment where clinic expansion, patient demand, cost efficiency, revenue cycle performance, and regulatory compliance must be managed with precision.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead financial strategy, planning, and operational finance activities across the healthcare division, ensuring alignment with business growth priorities and leadership expectations.
* Oversee all FP&A activities, including annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, long-range planning, scenario analysis, and divisional financial performance tracking.
* Manage monthly management reporting, financial reviews, and performance analysis, ensuring reports are accurate, timely, and useful for senior decision-making.
* Drive business performance reviews by identifying financial risks, growth opportunities, margin pressures, cost optimization areas, and operational improvement actions.
* Lead financial modelling and feasibility studies for new clinics, service expansions, investment proposals, and healthcare network development.
* Support mergers, acquisitions, investment reviews, financial due diligence, and business case evaluation where required.
* Ensure strong financial governance, internal controls, compliance frameworks, and reporting discipline across multiple healthcare entities.
* Partner with clinical, operational, commercial, and executive teams to connect financial results with business drivers such as patient volumes, utilization, revenue cycle metrics, and service profitability.
* Review revenue, cost, cash flow, working capital, and profitability trends to support sustainable healthcare business performance.
* Provide strategic financial recommendations to the Managing Director and senior leadership based on clear analysis and practical commercial judgment.
* Improve finance processes, reporting tools, controls, data visibility, and planning accuracy across the division.
* Guide finance teams with clear priorities, strong accountability, and a focus on operational excellence.
* Monitor investment performance, clinic-level results, and divisional KPIs to support better resource allocation and business planning.
* Ensure finance operations meet Al-Futtaim Group standards, healthcare sector requirements, and internal reporting expectations.
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
* Professional finance qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent is strongly preferred.
* Extensive healthcare finance experience is mandatory, preferably across clinics, hospitals, medical centers, or healthcare groups.
* Strong background in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, management reporting, and financial performance analysis.
* Previous experience in a senior finance leadership role such as Head of Finance, Finance Director, Senior Finance Manager, or similar.
* Arabic language capability is required or strongly preferred, with excellent English communication skills.
* Experience reporting to executive leadership and supporting board-level or managing director-level decision-making.
* Proven ability to lead financial modelling, feasibility studies, investment analysis, and business case evaluation.
* Exposure to M&A, due diligence, clinic expansion, new healthcare services, or multi-entity business planning is highly desirable.
* Strong understanding of healthcare KPIs, revenue cycle dynamics, patient volumes, utilization, service profitability, and cost structures.
