What Does an Otolaryngologist Do?
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients experiencing ENT-related symptoms including hearing loss, sinus disorders, voice issues, or throat infections
- Develop and execute customized treatment plans using both medical and surgical approaches
- Perform advanced ENT surgeries such as septoplasty, sinus surgery, tonsillectomy, tympanoplasty, and head-neck tumor removal
- Collaborate with audiologists, speech therapists, allergists, and primary care physicians to deliver integrated care
- Provide post-operative care and follow-up assessments to monitor healing and recovery
- Maintain up-to-date electronic medical records in compliance with healthcare standards
- Educate patients on preventative care, hygiene practices, and treatment options for chronic ENT disorders
- Keep current with the latest ENT surgical tools, minimally invasive techniques, and clinical best practices
What Skills Are Needed for an Otolaryngologist in Dubai?
Education:
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree from an accredited institution
- Residency in Otolaryngology (ENT)
- Board Certification in Otolaryngology
Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years of independent practice as an Otolaryngologist
- Strong surgical background in both routine and complex ENT cases
- Experience treating pediatric and adult patients
Skills:
- Expertise in ENT diagnostics, endoscopy, and surgical interventions
