The position requires expertise in pediatric dermatological conditions, strong diagnostic and procedural capabilities, and a patient- and family-centered approach to care. Clinical Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat
dermatological conditions affecting infants, children, and adolescents.
- Manage eczema, psoriasis, acne, birthmarks, skin infections, allergic skin disorders, and genetic skin diseases.
- Perform comprehensive dermatological assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Monitor treatment response and provide appropriate follow-up for acute and chronic skin conditions.
- Collaborate with pediatricians, allergists, immunologists, and other specialists to coordinate patient care.
- Educate children, parents, and caregivers regarding treatment options, disease prevention, and appropriate skin care.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with applicable regulatory and organizational standards.
- Follow patient safety requirements and ethical medical practices.
Dermatological Procedures
The Pediatric Dermatologist will perform appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within professional training and credentials, including:
- Skin biopsies
- Cryotherapy
- Laser treatments
- Minor dermatologic surgical interventions
- Other appropriate pediatric dermatology procedures
Qualifications and Requirements
- MD, MBBS, or equivalent medical degree from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a recognized residency in Dermatology.
- Fellowship or specialized training in Pediatric Dermatology is preferred.
- Board Certification or equivalent specialty certification in Dermatology.
- Eligibility for appropriate professional medical licensing in Dubai.
- Minimum 3-5 years of post-specialization experience in Pediatric Dermatology is preferred.
- Strong diagnostic, clinical, and procedural skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Fluency in English.
- Arabic language proficiency is an advantage.
