Role Context
The Pharmacy Technician plays an essential role in maintaining safe, efficient, and accurate pharmacy operations while supporting pharmacists in delivering high-quality patient care. This role ensures medications are prepared correctly, inventory is controlled properly, and patient service standards remain strong across HealthHub Clinics while following DHA regulations and pharmacy compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist pharmacists in preparing, packaging, labeling, and dispensing medications under direct supervision
* Receive and process prescriptions while ensuring all physician orders are verified by a licensed pharmacist before dispensing
* Support compounding activities and sterile IV preparation as directed by the supervising pharmacist
* Maintain pharmacy inventory, monitor stock levels, and report shortages, near-expiry, and expired medications
* Process insurance claims, billing activities, and maintain accurate medication dispensing records
* Provide patients with clear basic medication instructions while referring clinical questions to the pharmacist
* Ensure compliance with DHA pharmacy laws, safety standards, and internal operational protocols
* Support safe medication storage and ensure controlled and semi-controlled medications are handled according to regulations
* Maintain cleanliness, infection control, and organization standards within the pharmacy environment
* Participate in quality assurance, patient safety programs, and pharmacy process improvement initiatives
* Complete mandatory professional development and training requirements as required by DHA and employer standards
Ideal Profile
* Emirati candidate eligible under Emiratisation programs
* Diploma or certificate in a Pharmacy Technician program from an accredited institution
* Valid DHA Pharmacy Technician License or eligibility for licensing in Dubai
* Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
* Good standing certificate from previous licensing authority where applicable
* Strong knowledge of medication names, pharmaceutical calculations, and medical terminology
* Good computer literacy and familiarity with pharmacy management systems
* Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
