Role Context
The Registered Nurse will contribute directly to efficient outpatient care by supporting consultations, examinations, clinical procedures, patient monitoring, treatment administration, and follow-up services. Working within a multidisciplinary clinic environment, the nurse will help physicians manage a diverse patient population while maintaining strong standards of safety, documentation, infection control, and patient communication.
The position is particularly suited to a nurse who is comfortable moving between different clinical specialties and managing high patient volumes without compromising care quality. Experience communicating with multilingual patients, particularly in Arabic or Tagalog alongside English, would be valuable within the clinic\'s diverse community setting.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to patients attending outpatient consultations and treatment services.
* Assist physicians during medical examinations, consultations, minor procedures, and other clinical interventions.
* Record blood pressure, pulse, temperature, oxygen saturation, respiratory rate, and other relevant patient observations.
* Administer prescribed medications, injections, treatments, and therapeutic interventions in accordance with clinical protocols.
* Assess patients before consultations and communicate relevant clinical observations to physicians.
* Support ongoing management of patients with chronic diseases through monitoring, follow-up coordination, and patient education.
* Maintain accurate nursing notes, treatment records, observations, and electronic medical records.
* Prepare consultation and procedure areas and ensure required clinical equipment and supplies are available.
* Follow DHA requirements, infection prevention procedures, patient safety standards, and internal clinical policies.
* Educate patients and family members about medications, treatment instructions, preventive health measures, and follow-up requirements.
* Support family medicine, internal medicine, paediatrics, specialist clinics, and health screening services according to operational needs.
* Identify changes in patient condition and escalate clinical concerns promptly to the responsible physician.
* Maintain appropriate medication handling, storage, administration, and documentation practices.
* Assist with patient flow and coordinate with reception, physicians, laboratory teams, and other healthcare professionals when required.
* Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement activities, incident prevention, and patient safety initiatives.
* Apply appropriate infection control measures including hand hygiene, use of personal protective equipment, and safe disposal procedures.
* Maintain confidentiality of medical information and handle patient records in accordance with healthcare requirements.
* Keep nursing competencies current through training, clinical education, and professional development activities.
Ideal Profile
* Bachelor\'s degree or Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution.
* Valid DHA license as a Registered Nurse.
* Minimum 2 years of practical clinical nursing experience.
* Previous experience in an outpatient clinic, ambulatory care facility, family medicine practice, medical centre, or primary healthcare environment is preferred.
* Strong patient assessment and clinical support capabilities.
* Experience working with electronic medical record systems and routine digital healthcare documentation.
* Good understanding of medication administration, vital-sign monitoring, infection control, and patient safety procedures.
* Previous UAE healthcare experience would be advantageous.
* Experience within multidisciplinary clinics and exposure to several medical specialties is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with family medicine, internal medicine, paediatrics, specialist consultations, or health screening services is beneficial.
* Fluent English communication skills are required.
* Arabic or Tagalog language capability would be strongly preferred.
