The Specialist - Dermatology will provide comprehensive skin care services covering medical diagnosis, cosmetic treatment planning, preventive care, and post-procedure follow-up. The role requires strong clinical judgment, careful patient assessment, procedural confidence, and excellent communication with patients seeking both medical dermatology and aesthetic solutions. Working in Abu Dhabi’s growing healthcare and aesthetic medicine market, the specialist will help improve patient satisfaction, treatment safety, and long-term skin health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive skin assessments to diagnose dermatological conditions affecting the skin, hair, and nails.
* Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on patient concerns, diagnosis, skin type, medical history, and treatment goals.
* Diagnose and manage common and complex dermatological concerns such as acne, eczema, pigmentation, dermatitis, psoriasis, hair loss, and other skin conditions.
* Perform medical and cosmetic dermatology procedures, including laser therapy, chemical peels, Botox, fillers, and skin biopsies.
* Provide aesthetic consultations and recommend suitable treatment options with clear explanation of benefits, risks, and expected outcomes.
* Offer expert advice on skincare routines, preventive care, sun protection, post-treatment recovery, and long-term skin maintenance.
* Maintain accurate patient records, consent documentation, treatment notes, procedure details, and follow-up plans.
* Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, infection control standards, patient safety requirements, and professional medical ethics.
* Collaborate with nurses, aestheticians, clinic support staff, and other healthcare professionals to deliver smooth and coordinated care.
* Stay updated with advancements in dermatology, laser technologies, injectables, skincare science, and aesthetic medicine.
* Support a patient-focused clinic environment by maintaining professional communication, confidentiality, and high service standards.
* Monitor patient progress after procedures and adjust care plans when required to support safe and effective outcomes.
Ideal Profile
* Medical degree with specialization in Dermatology.
* Valid specialist dermatology qualification or equivalent recognized credential.
* Proven experience in both clinical dermatology and cosmetic dermatology.
* Strong ability to diagnose and treat a wide range of skin conditions.
* Proficiency in laser technologies, Botox, fillers, chemical peels, skin biopsies, and aesthetic treatment planning.
* Experience conducting aesthetic consultations and advising patients on suitable treatment options.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-friendly approach.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, patient-focused medical or aesthetic clinic environment.
