What Does a Specialist Endocrinologist Do?
As a Specialist Endocrinologist at HealthHub Karama Clinic, you will deliver high-quality, evidence-based care for patients with a variety of endocrinological disorders. Your responsibilities will include diagnosing and treating complex hormonal and metabolic issues, collaborating across specialties, and ensuring optimal outcomes through continuity of care and innovation.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Diagnose and manage endocrine disorders such as diabetes, thyroid conditions, adrenal dysfunction, and pituitary diseases
- Conduct detailed clinical evaluations and design individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with other physicians and allied health professionals to ensure holistic patient care
- Monitor patient progress, update treatment strategies, and maintain thorough medical records
- Educate patients on disease prevention and lifestyle modification
- Participate in clinical audits, medical conferences, and departmental initiatives
- Contribute to patient safety standards, clinical governance, and best practice adoption
What Qualifications and Experience Are Required?
- MBBS or MBChB from an accredited medical institution
- Completion of a recognized specialist training program in Endocrinology
- Valid DHA license or eligibility to practice as a Specialist Endocrinologist in the UAE
- Minimum 5 years of specialist-level experience post-qualification
- Proficiency in English; Arabic language skills are a plus
- Certified in Basic and Advanced Life Support
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
