While hiring and onboarding are managed through Dubai, the position is based in Sharjah. * Diagnose and treat gastrointestinal diseases including GERD, IBS, IBD, liver disorders, and peptic ulcers.
* Perform endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, and upper GI endoscopy.
* Interpret diagnostic tests including lab results, biopsies, and imaging studies.
* Provide inpatient and outpatient consultations, including emergency gastroenterology assessments.
* Collaborate with dietitians, radiologists, and surgeons to deliver comprehensive patient care.
* Ensure compliance with MOH regulations and maintain accurate patient documentation.
* Participate in clinical audits, CME sessions, and departmental quality initiatives.
* Educate patients on dietary habits, lifestyle changes, and preventive care.
Ideal Profile
* Medical degree from a recognized institution.
* Specialist certification in Gastroenterology (Arab Board, MRCP, or equivalent).
* At least 5 years of post-specialization experience in a hospital or specialty clinic.
* Licensed or eligible for UAE MOH registration.
* Strong procedural and diagnostic expertise.
* Fluent in Arabic and/or English preferred.
* Patient-focused with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
