Position Overview
The Specialist Gastroenterologist - Digestive Care Expert role in Sharjah UAE focuses on diagnosing and managing a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions. This position offers the opportunity to perform advanced endoscopic procedures while contributing to high standards of patient care and clinical excellence.
What You’ll Do
* Diagnose and treat gastrointestinal disorders including GERD, IBS, IBD, liver diseases, and peptic ulcers
* Perform endoscopic procedures such as upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, and sigmoidoscopy
* Interpret diagnostic tests including imaging, laboratory results, and biopsies
* Provide inpatient, outpatient, and emergency gastrointestinal consultations
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including surgeons, dietitians, and radiologists
* Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with MOH regulations
* Participate in clinical audits, CME programs, and quality improvement initiatives
* Educate patients on lifestyle, dietary changes, and disease management
Ideal Profile
* Medical degree from a recognized institution
* Specialist certification in Gastroenterology such as Arab Board, MRCP, or equivalent
* Minimum 5 years of post-specialization experience in hospital or clinical settings
* UAE MOH license or eligibility required
* Strong procedural and diagnostic expertise
* Excellent communication and patient-care skills
* Fluent in Arabic and or English
