Key Responsibilities
* Conduct specialist Gastroenterology consultations for adults presenting with acute, recurrent, and chronic digestive symptoms.
* Assess and treat gastrointestinal disorders using clinical examination, diagnostic investigations, and evidence-based treatment pathways.
* Manage liver disease and related hepatobiliary conditions within the scope of specialist outpatient practice.
* Diagnose and oversee treatment for inflammatory bowel disease, including ongoing monitoring and adjustment of long-term management plans.
* Evaluate patients with reflux, upper gastrointestinal complaints, abdominal discomfort, and persistent digestive symptoms.
* Treat functional bowel disorders and support patients requiring extended symptom management.
* Perform endoscopy and other approved Gastroenterology procedures in accordance with clinical privileges and facility requirements.
* Review endoscopic findings, laboratory results, imaging studies, and other investigations to establish accurate diagnoses.
* Develop personalized treatment plans based on patient history, clinical findings, disease progression, and individual risk factors.
* Provide preventive Gastroenterology services including appropriate screening, risk assessment, and early identification of digestive disease.
* Maintain structured follow-up for patients with chronic gastrointestinal and liver conditions.
* Educate patients and families regarding medications, diet, lifestyle modifications, warning symptoms, and treatment adherence.
* Build effective referral relationships with Family Medicine, General Practice, Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, General Surgery, Paediatrics, and specialist colleagues.

Ideal Profile
* Medical degree from a recognized institution with an appropriate specialist qualification in Gastroenterology.
* Valid Specialist Gastroenterologist license issued by DHA, DOH, or MOH in the United Arab Emirates.
* Minimum 5 years of post-specialist Gastroenterology experience.
* Previous clinical experience within the UAE healthcare environment.
* Strong practical background in outpatient Gastroenterology.
* Demonstrated procedural Gastroenterology experience, including endoscopy within approved clinical privileges.
