The role combines medical evaluation, emotional support, advanced ART procedures, treatment monitoring, and clear patient communication throughout the fertility journey.
This position has strong patient-care value because fertility treatment requires accuracy, compassion, confidentiality, and close coordination between physicians, embryologists, nurses, laboratory teams, and patients. The specialist will contribute to safe treatment outcomes, patient confidence, quality improvement, and the ongoing development of fertility services in Dubai.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct fertility consultations, patient assessments, reproductive history reviews, physical examinations, and infertility evaluations for individuals and couples.
* Diagnose and manage infertility-related conditions, reproductive health concerns, ovulatory disorders, hormonal imbalance, and treatment-related complications.
* Develop individualized fertility treatment plans based on patient age, medical history, ovarian reserve, diagnostic results, previous treatment response, and reproductive goals.
* Perform and manage IVF, ICSI, ovulation induction, follicular monitoring, egg retrieval, embryo transfer, and related assisted reproductive technology procedures.
* Interpret ultrasound scans, hormonal profiles, semen analysis, genetic screening results, and other fertility-related diagnostic findings.
* Collaborate closely with embryologists, fertility nurses, laboratory teams, anesthesiology support, counselors, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.
* Provide patient counselling and emotional support throughout investigations, stimulation cycles, procedures, embryo transfer, outcome review, and follow-up care.
* Monitor treatment outcomes, adjust protocols where required, and support continuous improvement in fertility success rates and patient safety.
* Maintain accurate medical records, consent documentation, cycle notes, procedure records, diagnostic summaries, and follow-up plans in line with DHA requirements.
* Follow clinical governance standards, confidentiality requirements, ethical fertility practice, patient safety protocols, and evidence-based reproductive medicine guidelines.
* Stay updated with advancements in reproductive medicine, fertility preservation, IVF technologies, ART protocols, and international fertility standards.
Ideal Profile
* Medical degree such as MBBS, MD, or equivalent from a recognized institution.
* Completed specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology with fellowship or subspecialty training in Reproductive Medicine, IVF, or Assisted Reproductive Technology.
* Active DHA license or eligibility for Dubai Health Authority licensing is preferred.
* Minimum 3-5 years of experience in IVF and fertility treatment within a reputable healthcare facility or fertility center.
* Proven expertise in ART procedures, IVF cycle management, fertility assessment, ovulation induction, follicular monitoring, egg retrieval, and embryo transfer.
* Experience with fertility preservation techniques and international fertility treatment protocols is an advantage.
* Strong communication, counselling, emotional-support, documentation, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
* Fluency in English is required, while Arabic language ability is an advantage.
* Ability to work effectively in a multicultural healthcare environment with empathy, discretion, and patient-focused care.
