Role Context
The Specialist OBGYN plays a vital role in supporting women’s health from pregnancy through postnatal recovery and long-term gynecological wellness. This position strengthens healthcare excellence by managing routine and high-risk pregnancies, performing advanced gynecological procedures, and ensuring safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care across all stages of women’s health.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct detailed consultations and manage routine, complex, and high-risk pregnancy cases with strong maternal and fetal care standards
* Provide antenatal, natal, and postnatal care focused on safe delivery outcomes and long-term patient wellbeing
* Perform gynecological procedures including Caesarean sections, hysterectomies, laparoscopies, D and C, colposcopy, and fertility-related interventions
* Diagnose and manage gynecological conditions such as PCOS, endometriosis, fibroids, menstrual disorders, infertility issues, and pelvic pain
* Collaborate with midwives, neonatologists, anesthesiologists, pediatricians, and nursing teams for integrated patient care
* Educate patients on reproductive health, prenatal care, contraception, fertility options, and family planning
* Maintain accurate medical documentation and ensure compliance with DHA regulations and hospital governance standards
* Participate in departmental audits, continuous medical education, and quality improvement initiatives
* Communicate effectively with Arabic-speaking patients and families to ensure comfort, understanding, and trust throughout treatment
Ideal Profile
* Fluent Arabic communication skills in both spoken and written form are essential
* Specialist qualification in Obstetrics and Gynecology such as Arab Board, MRCOG, or equivalent
* Minimum five years of post-specialization experience in a hospital or women’s health clinic
* Strong surgical and diagnostic expertise across obstetric and gynecologic care
* Excellent interpersonal skills with culturally sensitive patient communication abilities
* Proven experience managing both obstetric emergencies and planned gynecological procedures
* Eligibility for specialist licensing within UAE healthcare authority standards
* Strong commitment to patient safety and women-centered healthcare excellence
