Role Context
The Specialist OBGYN - Arabic Speaker provides comprehensive women’s healthcare across obstetric and gynecologic services in Dubai. The role involves supporting patients through pregnancy, childbirth, recovery, reproductive health concerns, surgical treatment, and ongoing preventive care.
This position has strong clinical and patient-trust value because Arabic-speaking patients and families often require clear, culturally sensitive communication during pregnancy, procedures, diagnosis, and treatment decisions. The specialist will work closely with midwives, neonatologists, anesthesiologists, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated and safe care.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct detailed obstetric and gynecologic consultations, including medical history review, physical examination, diagnostic assessment, and care planning.
* Manage routine and high-risk pregnancies with close attention to maternal health, fetal wellbeing, clinical risk factors, and timely escalation when required.
* Provide antenatal and postnatal care, including pregnancy monitoring, patient education, delivery planning, recovery support, and follow-up care.
* Perform gynecological and obstetric procedures, including cesarean sections, hysterectomies, laparoscopies, D and C, colposcopy, and fertility-related interventions.
* Assess and treat common and complex women’s health concerns, including menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, fertility issues, pregnancy complications, and gynecologic conditions.
* Collaborate with midwives, neonatologists, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other specialists to ensure integrated care for maternity and gynecology patients.
* Communicate clearly with Arabic-speaking patients and families regarding diagnosis, procedures, risks, treatment options, recovery expectations, and follow-up plans.
* Maintain accurate patient records, consultation notes, procedure documentation, consent forms, and clinical reports.
* Follow DHA requirements, hospital protocols, clinical governance standards, patient safety procedures, and ethical medical practice.
* Participate in departmental audits, CME activities, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical case reviews.
Ideal Profile
* Specialist qualification in Obstetrics and Gynecology, such as Arab Board, MRCOG, or equivalent.
* DHA license or DHA eligibility is required.
* Fluency in Arabic, both spoken and written, is essential.
* Minimum 5 years of post-specialization experience in a hospital, maternity unit, or women’s health clinic.
* Strong surgical and diagnostic experience across obstetrics, gynecology, pregnancy care, and women’s health procedures.
* Ability to manage routine and high-risk maternity cases with safe, evidence-based clinical judgment.
* Strong interpersonal skills with a culturally sensitive approach to patient communication and family support.
* Experience working in multidisciplinary care settings with maternity, neonatal, anesthesia, nursing, and surgical teams.
