Role Context
The Specialist OBGYN will provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care within a leading healthcare facility in Dubai, supporting women through routine consultations, complex pregnancy needs, surgical procedures, fertility-related concerns, and postnatal follow-up. The position is important for improving patient confidence, maternal safety, fetal well-being, and continuity of care, especially for Arabic-speaking patients and families who require clear and culturally aligned communication.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct detailed obstetrics and gynecology consultations for women across different stages of care
* Manage routine pregnancies, high-risk pregnancies, antenatal care, natal care, and postnatal follow-up
* Assess maternal and fetal well-being through clinical evaluation, diagnostic review, and evidence-based treatment planning
* Perform gynecological and obstetric procedures, including cesarean sections, hysterectomies, laparoscopies, D and C, colposcopy, and fertility-related interventions
* Provide clear guidance to patients on pregnancy care, gynecological conditions, treatment options, surgical risks, and recovery expectations
* Collaborate with midwives, neonatologists, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other specialists to deliver integrated women’s health services
* Maintain accurate patient records, consent documentation, procedure notes, and follow-up plans in line with clinical protocols
* Support departmental audits, CME activities, quality improvement programs, and clinical governance initiatives
* Communicate effectively with Arabic-speaking patients and families to ensure comfort, trust, and understanding throughout care delivery
* Promote safe, ethical, and evidence-based practice across obstetric and gynecological services
Ideal Profile
* Fluent Arabic communication skills, both spoken and written
* Specialist qualification in Obstetrics and Gynecology such as Arab Board, MRCOG, or equivalent
* DHA license or eligibility is preferred
* Minimum 5 years of post-specialization experience in a hospital or women’s health clinic
* Strong clinical background in prenatal care, high-risk pregnancy, maternal health, gynecology, and women’s health services
* Proven surgical skills across obstetric and gynecological procedures
* Confident diagnostic ability with a structured approach to patient assessment and treatment planning
* Excellent interpersonal skills with a culturally sensitive, professional, and reassuring patient-care style
* Ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams in a busy healthcare environment
