Role Context
The Specialist
OBGYN will provide comprehensive women’s health services across routine consultations, high-risk pregnancy care, gynecological procedures, surgical interventions, postnatal recovery, and reproductive health support. The role requires strong clinical judgment, Arabic communication skills, cultural awareness, and the ability to guide patients and families with clarity during sensitive maternity and gynecology decisions. Working with midwives, neonatologists, anesthesiologists, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams, the physician will help improve maternal safety, patient trust, and continuity of care.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct detailed obstetrics and gynecology consultations for patients requiring routine assessment, pregnancy care, reproductive health support, or specialist review.
* Manage routine and high-risk pregnancies with careful monitoring of maternal and fetal wellbeing throughout antenatal, delivery, and postnatal stages.
* Perform gynecological and obstetric procedures including cesarean sections, hysterectomies, laparoscopies, D and C, colposcopy, and fertility-related interventions.
* Provide antenatal and postnatal care that supports safe pregnancy progression, maternal recovery, newborn wellbeing coordination, and patient education.
* Assess gynecological symptoms, interpret diagnostic findings, recommend treatment options, and guide patients through medical or surgical care pathways.
* Collaborate closely with midwives, neonatologists, anesthesiologists, nurses, fertility teams, and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care.
* Communicate effectively with Arabic-speaking patients and families, ensuring diagnosis, procedure details, risks, treatment plans, and recovery expectations are clearly understood.
* Maintain accurate patient records, consultation notes, operative reports, consent documentation, follow-up plans, and clinical summaries.
* Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, UAE healthcare standards, patient safety requirements, ethical practice, and clinical governance expectations.
* Participate in departmental audits, CME activities, case reviews, quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing professional development.
* Support a respectful and culturally sensitive care environment where patients feel heard, informed, and confident in their treatment journey.
Ideal Profile
* Medical degree from a recognized institution.
* Specialist qualification in Obstetrics and Gynecology such as Arab Board, MRCOG, or equivalent.
* Minimum 5 years of post-specialization experience in a hospital or women’s health clinic.
* Fluent Arabic communication skills in spoken and written Arabic are required.
* Strong clinical experience in prenatal care, high-risk pregnancy management, delivery care, postnatal follow-up, and gynecological consultation.
* Skilled in obstetric and gynecological procedures including cesarean sections, hysterectomies, laparoscopies, D and C, colposcopy, and fertility-related interventions.
