What Does a Specialist Urologist Do?
As a Specialist Urologist, you will provide high-quality diagnostic, procedural, and therapeutic care to patients with a range of urological conditions. You will work in a collaborative environment alongside a multidisciplinary clinical team, utilizing modern medical technology to deliver evidence-based treatments that improve patient outcomes.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Diagnose and manage a wide spectrum of urological conditions, including urinary tract infections, kidney stones, prostate issues, and urological cancers
- Perform relevant non-invasive procedures and support surgical planning if required
- Collaborate with other specialists in general medicine, internal medicine, and diagnostics for comprehensive patient care
- Prescribe and monitor treatments, track patient progress, and adjust plans based on recovery
- Maintain high standards of clinical documentation and patient interaction
- Stay current with advances in urology and attend conferences and training sessions
- Actively contribute to continuous quality improvement within the clinic
What Skills Are Needed for a Urologist Role in Dubai?
Education:
- MBBS or MBChB from a recognized institution
- Completion of a specialty qualification in Urology recognized by the Dubai Health Authority, DOH Abu Dhabi, or UAE MOH
Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience as a Specialist Urologist following board certification
Licenses & Certifications:
- DHA eligibility or licensure
- Basic and Advanced Life Support certification
Other Requirements:
- Proven expertise in clinical and procedural urology
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent command of English; Arabic is an advantage
- High standards of ethics and professional integrity
