Job Overview
The Assistant Beverage Manager at Jumeirah Muscat Bay will play a pivotal role in maintaining consistency in bar operations, training programs, and beverage performance. From ensuring proper inventory levels to driving revenue targets, this position is designed for a dynamic hospitality professional with an eye for detail and a flair for innovation.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee beverage service quality, cocktail knowledge, and adherence to local licensing and responsible service laws
* Maintain clear communication with team members and suppliers to support seamless operations
* Manage par levels for spirits, mixers, and equipment; conduct regular inventory checks and ensure rotation protocols
* Lead training programs such as WSET, wine and cocktail tasting, mixology sessions, and brand-specific modules
* Track and control beverage costs in line with budget expectations; ensure correct recipe entries in procurement systems
* Collaborate with cost control to monitor consumption trends and forecast stock requirements
* Support team development, maintain high service standards, and uphold Jumeirah\'s values in all guest interactions
Job Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field
* WSET Level 3 certification required
* 3–5 years of progressive experience in beverage or bar management within luxury hospitality
* Strong leadership, organizational, and training skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of systems like Adaco is an advantage
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead a diverse team
