Position Overview
IHG Hotels & Resorts is looking for an experienced Assistant Chief Steward to join voco Dubai The Palm, located in the heart of Palm West Beach. As Assistant Chief Steward, you will oversee the stewarding team to ensure high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and operational efficiency across all food and beverage outlets. This role is vital to supporting smooth hotel operations and delivering the exceptional service that IHG is known for in Dubai’s competitive hospitality market.

What You’ll Do
* Supervise daily operations of the stewarding department, ensuring smooth service support for hotel operations
* Oversee sanitation and hygiene across all food production and service areas
* Maintain inventories, par stocks, and ensure adequate equipment availability in all outlets
* Control storeroom orders and distribution of china, silver, glassware, and related items
* Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and fire regulations in line with local laws and brand standards
* Manage cleaning schedules, garbage runs, and back-of-house cleanliness to established standards
* Lead and motivate the stewarding team to deliver consistent support across the hotel
Ideal Profile
* Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role
* Strong operational knowledge with solid administrative and organizational skills
* Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required
* Outgoing and service-driven personality with a passion for excellence
* Flexible team player with excellent communication and leadership skills
* Knowledge of hygiene, health, and safety procedures in hospitality environments
