Job Overview
As the Assistant Manager – Sports and Leisure, you will lead a multicultural team, ensure lifeguard coverage, uphold safety standards, and deliver exceptional guest experiences across all beach and recreational zones. You will be responsible for maintaining training, compliance, and cleanliness standards while fostering a safe and enjoyable environment.
What You’ll Do
* Supervise the Sports and Leisure team to ensure seamless operations, lifeguard coverage, and accurate scheduling
* Conduct regular guest engagement and service checks across the beach and poolside areas
* Address guest feedback and complaints promptly and professionally
* Maintain and audit team training records and ensure timely monthly safety and skills training
* Enforce emergency procedures, equipment checks, and health and safety protocols
* Monitor cleanliness and operational readiness of all leisure facilities
* Report and manage maintenance issues for equipment and public-use areas
* Complete and submit timely safety checklists, audit logs, and internal documentation
Ideal Profile
* Minimum 1 year in a supervisory role within leisure, recreation, or lifeguard operations
* Proven experience leading multicultural teams in a hospitality setting
* Skilled in special facilities lifeguarding and related certifications
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
* Strong communication skills in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage
* Safety-first mindset and hands-on approach to guest satisfaction and team management
