About the Role
As an Audio Visual Technician 2, you will provide technical services for events and internal clients throughout Atlantis The Royal.
You will prepare, install and dismantle AV equipment while supporting the testing,
maintenance and operation of installed systems. The position requires close coordination with the Audio Visual team, event stakeholders, customers and external contractors.
Event Audio Visual Support
* Set up audio visual equipment for conferences and events.
* Dismantle and safely store equipment following events.
* Ensure technical setups comply with Atlantis standards and Standard Operating Procedures.
* Review event technical requirements and prepare equipment accordingly.
* Provide technical support during events and internal functions.
* Monitor external contractor setups to ensure they meet property standards.
* Respond to operational AV issues and provide practical technical solutions.
AV Systems and Preventive Maintenance
* Complete scheduled preventive maintenance on resort-owned audio visual equipment.
* Assist with testing and maintenance of permanently installed AV systems.
* Perform first-line maintenance on technical equipment.
* Identify equipment faults and support timely corrective action.
* Maintain equipment in proper working condition.
* Clean and store technical equipment appropriately after use.
* Follow established Audio Visual policies and procedures.
Background Music Systems
The position supports the installed background music system throughout the property. You will carry out regular sound level tests and document system performance through weekly reporting.
Any abnormal performance or technical issue should be identified and communicated to the appropriate team for further action.
Technical Coordination
Effective communication between the Audio Visual team, stakeholders and customers is essential. You will work collaboratively to understand technical requirements, coordinate event support and maintain smooth communication throughout each assignment.
The role requires critical thinking and the ability to develop practical solutions to technical problems affecting operations, compliance or safety.
Safety and Work Standards
* Maintain a safe working environment during technical operations.
* Ensure AV equipment is used and maintained in safe working condition.
* Follow applicable operating procedures and safety requirements.
* Handle, transport and store technical equipment appropriately.
* Escalate technical or safety concerns when additional support is required.
Shift Requirements
This position includes shift work to support conferences, events and other operational requirements across Atlantis The Royal.
