Job Overview
As Banquet Operations Manager, you will oversee event setup, staff coordination, service delivery, and post-event follow-ups. You’ll manage inventory, guide team performance, and ensure that every event exceeds guest expectations while maximizing profitability and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee banquet operations, ensuring service excellence and adherence to safety, hygiene, and brand standards
* Coordinate with the kitchen and F and B teams to ensure event readiness
* Manage departmental inventories, including supplies, equipment, and beverage control
* Lead, train, schedule, and motivate banquet staff for optimal performance
* Maintain financial control and manage operational expenses
* Provide direct customer service support, resolve complaints, and gather feedback
* Conduct departmental meetings and lead continuous improvement initiatives
* Ensure smooth execution of events and manage guest relations throughout the event lifecycle
* Apply knowledge of current trends in event service, cuisine, and wine pairing
* Handle emergencies and ensure staff training in safety protocols
Job Requirements
* High school diploma or GED required; hospitality certifications preferred
* Minimum 2 years experience in banquet, F and B, or event management
* Strong leadership, delegation, and communication skills
* Detail-oriented and customer-focused
* Hands-on approach to team management and event execution
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
* Familiarity with sanitation and health regulations and inventory systems
