InterContinental Dubai Festival City is seeking a dedicated Banquets and Events Host to support the execution of world-class events at our premier luxury property. Located in a dynamic hospitality cluster featuring four IHG brands, this role is perfect for detail-oriented professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy creating seamless guest experiences for high-profile functions, conferences, and social events in Dubai.

What You’ll Do
* Attend banquet briefings to understand event setup, client expectations, and staffing needs.
* Assist in assembling and disassembling event furniture and equipment with care.
* Ensure guest satisfaction through warm greetings and
responsive service.
* Coordinate manpower support and guide casual event staff during setup and execution.
* Maintain event areas to high standards of cleanliness, order, and presentation.
* Respond to guest needs promptly and professionally, anticipating their preferences.
* Monitor and report any maintenance needs or incidents to management.
* Support health, safety, and fire life safety standards during all functions.
* Prepare necessary documentation including event logs and manpower allocation.
* Participate in briefings, hotel trainings, and staff meetings as required.
Ideal Profile
* Minimum 1 year experience in banquet or event operations within a five-star hotel.
* Excellent communication skills and guest-focused service attitude.
* Good time management and multitasking abilities under pressure.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel is a plus.
* Fluent in English; additional language skills are beneficial.
* Physically fit and comfortable with manual event setup tasks.
* Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts.
* High school diploma required; further hospitality education is an asset.
