Job Overview
As a Barista at Jumeirah Al Naseem, you will serve guests a variety of coffee, tea, juices, and light snacks while maintaining the highest standards of quality, hygiene, and customer service. You will manage equipment calibration, stock levels, and promote daily specials while creating memorable experiences for guests through exceptional attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and serve beverages including coffee, tea, and fresh juices promptly and accurately
* Maintain knowledge of all menu items and upsell where possible
* Calibrate and maintain coffee machines and grinders to ensure consistent quality
* Process guest payments, manage bills accurately, and report discrepancies
* Monitor inventory using FIFO method and promote near-expiry items to reduce waste
* Follow hygiene, grooming, and presentation standards as per brand guidelines
* Support team members during service and attend daily briefings
Job Requirements
* 1–2 years of barista or café service experience in a luxury hotel or upscale venue
* Proficiency in English; Russian or another European language is desirable
* Familiarity with Micros, Sevenrooms, and Microsoft Office tools
* Strong knowledge of specialty coffee preparation, latte art, and food pairing
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to perform in a multicultural team
* Attention to cleanliness, guest preferences, and product presentation
