Position Overview
Atlantis Resorts is hiring a Carpenter Technician in Dubai, UAE to perform preventive and corrective carpentry, joinery and related finishing work at Atlantis, The Palm. The role maintains guest room furniture, doors, wardrobes, cabinets, flooring, wall panels, ceilings and other fixtures while supporting refurbishment projects and ensuring repairs meet the safety, functionality and presentation standards of a luxury resort.

About the Role
As a Carpenter Technician, you will work closely with the Engineering team to respond to maintenance requests, complete scheduled preventive work and repair or fabricate carpentry components throughout the property.
The position requires practical joinery
and furniture repair capabilities, careful finishing skills and the ability to complete work efficiently in both guest-facing and operational areas.
Carpentry and Joinery Maintenance
* Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of carpentry-related assets.
* Repair guest room furniture, wardrobes, cabinets and drawers.
* Maintain doors, door frames, skirting and wooden flooring.
* Repair gypsum ceilings and associated finishing elements.
* Restore damaged wooden panels, decorative moldings, partitions and ceiling access panels.
* Replace damaged plywood, MDF, laminates, veneers and solid wood components.
* Inspect guest rooms for carpentry defects and complete required repairs promptly.
* Support room refurbishment and renovation activities.
Doors, Hardware and Fabrication
* Install, repair and adjust locks, hinges, door closers and handles.
* Maintain other door hardware according to operational requirements.
* Fabricate wooden components based on site measurements.
* Carry out sanding, polishing and finishing work.
* Complete laminate repairs and related surface restoration.
* Repair and restore furniture to maintain its appearance and functionality.
Maintenance Coordination
You will coordinate with Managers and Team Leaders to follow up service orders and update task status. Collaboration with other Engineering trades is also required to complete multidisciplinary maintenance work efficiently.
When maintenance takes place in occupied or guest-facing areas, professional communication with hotel guests is an important part of the role.
Tools and Workplace Safety
* Operate hand and power tools safely.
* Keep carpentry tools and equipment in safe working condition.
* Follow applicable health, safety and fire requirements.
* Maintain clean and hazard-free work areas.
* Complete assigned work with attention to detail and resort presentation standards.
About You
The role requires practical carpentry and joinery skills, including furniture repair and restoration, door and hardware installation, wood finishing, polishing and general fabrication.
You should demonstrate attention to detail, time management and problem-solving ability while working effectively with other Engineering colleagues. Good communication skills are important for coordinating maintenance activities and interacting appropriately with guests.
Awareness of MEP-related repair work is considered an advantage.
