Role Context
The Commis Chef supports one of the region\'s most sophisticated luxury resort culinary operations. Working alongside experienced chefs, the role contributes to consistent food
quality, efficient kitchen preparation, and strict hygiene compliance across restaurants serving European, Asian, South American, buffet, casual-dining, poolside, beach, pastry, and high-volume production concepts.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare mise en place according to daily kitchen requirements.
* Set up food-production equipment and assigned workstations.
* Assist senior chefs with ingredient preparation and cooking activities.
* Follow approved recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards.
* Apply basic food preparation and preservation techniques correctly.
* Support operations in fine-dining, buffet, casual-dining, or central-production kitchens.
* Handle ingredients and kitchen equipment safely.
* Maintain clean, organized, and hygienic preparation areas.
* Follow HACCP requirements and resort food-safety procedures.
* Comply with local health-authority standards.
* Store food correctly to protect freshness and prevent contamination.
* Assist the culinary team during busy service periods.
* Communicate ingredient shortages, equipment problems, and quality concerns promptly.
* Minimize food waste through accurate preparation and responsible handling.
* Participate in culinary training and ongoing skills development.
* Support consistent guest experiences through reliable preparation and attention to detail.
Ideal Profile
* Between 1 and 3 years of culinary experience.
* Previous work in a high-end food and beverage outlet or international hotel chain.
* Candidates from European, Asian, South American, buffet, casual-dining, production, or pastry backgrounds are welcome.
* Sound knowledge of basic food preparation and cooking methods.
* Familiarity with food presentation and preservation techniques.
* Working understanding of kitchen hygiene and safety procedures.
* Awareness of HACCP food-safety practices.
* Eager to learn from experienced culinary professionals.
