Demi Chef de Partie - Bakery

Embark on an exciting culinary journey as a Demi Chef de Partie – Bakery at Accor in Doha. In this role, you will be a key member of the pastry kitchen, responsible for crafting high-quality breads, pastries, and healthy desserts with exceptional taste, texture, and presentation. You will collaborate closely with the Pastry Chef to create innovative menu items while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and produce a wide variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, and healthy desserts, ensuring top-notch quality, taste, and presentation.
- Develop, refine, and adapt recipes to maintain consistency, taste, and nutritional value, catering to dietary restrictions and allergen requirements.
- Collaborate with the Pastry Chef to design innovative menu items and seasonal specials that complement wellness offerings.
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and assist in cost control for the bakery department.
- Train and supervise commis in baking techniques, ensuring timely preparation and delivery of baked goods for service.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute creative ideas for continuous improvement of bakery offerings.

Requirements:

Education and Experience:
- Culinary degree or diploma with a focus on baking, with 2-3 years of professional kitchen experience.
- Proficiency in various baking techniques, equipment usage, and food safety standards (relevant certification preferred).
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Creativity and attention to detail in recipe development and presentation.
- Knowledge of international baking trends and health-conscious baking practices.
- Experience in creating dietary-friendly baked goods and managing dietary restrictions.
- English proficiency is required.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
