Job Overview
As Director - Architecture, you will spearhead the design direction and scope development for multiple hotel and resort projects worldwide. Your role will include managing project timelines, aligning stakeholders, ensuring design consistency with Jumeirah’s luxury brand standards, and delivering exceptional guest-focused environments through innovation and expert oversight.
Key Responsibilities
* Define and lead design strategies for new builds, refurbishments, and property improvement plans
* Approve all design submissions including architectural, landscaping, signage, and FF&E
* Oversee selection and coordination of design consultants, ensuring brand and sustainability compliance
* Manage project timelines and milestones from planning to completion
* Collaborate with owners, consultants, and technical services on design development and execution
* Drive innovation by conducting research on luxury design trends and materials
* Deliver regular progress reports to senior leadership and maintain project documentation
Job Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Architecture required; Master’s degree in Architecture or Business Administration preferred
* 10–12 years of experience in luxury design, including 5+ years in a leadership role within hospitality or mixed-use projects
* Proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
* Skilled in reading and interpreting MEP and construction documentation
* Strong background in space planning, project execution, and brand-driven design standards
* Excellent leadership and stakeholder engagement abilities
