Position Overview
voco Hotels, known for combining unique charm with exceptional hospitality, is seeking an experienced Director of Finance to manage the financial operations of a 452-room property. This leadership role requires balancing owner, auditor, and regulatory requirements while maximizing profitability and safeguarding hotel assets.
Core Duties
* Lead, coach, and manage the finance team to ensure operational excellence
* Establish and maintain ethical, legal, and exceptional accounting standards
* Conduct financial analysis, monitor data trends, and budget effectively to maximize returns
* Oversee payment options, inventory controls, and financial dispute resolution to enhance guest experience
* Supervise accounting functions including Accounts Payable, Purchasing, and Payroll
* Negotiate hotel space and tenant leases, manage assets, prepare business projections, and handle government reports and tax returns
Candidate Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance
* 4–8 years’ hotel accounting or auditing experience, with at least 1 year as Director of Finance or 3 years as Assistant Controller/leadership role
* Strong knowledge of hotel financial management, payroll, asset management, and reporting
* Professional accounting or finance certification preferred
* Excellent leadership, organizational, and analytical skills
