Position Overview
The Doorman in Dubai, United Arab Emirates will provide a welcoming and professional first point of contact for guests and visitors arriving at or departing from the hotel. The role supports entrance operations, luggage assistance, traffic coordination, guest enquiries and safety awareness while working closely with the Bell Desk, Front Office and Security teams to maintain smooth and courteous service.

Guest Arrival and Departure
* Welcome guests and visitors warmly on arrival and departure.
* Open and close doors and assist guests entering or leaving the hotel.

Help guests with luggage and coordinate with the Bell Desk when additional assistance is required.
* Provide clear information about hotel facilities, services and directions.
* Respond promptly and courteously to guest enquiries and requests.
* Handle guest concerns professionally and escalate matters when appropriate.
* Maintain awareness of VIP arrivals, daily events and relevant in-house activities.
* Provide additional entrance and guest-service support during busy periods and special events.
Entrance and Traffic Coordination
Maintain an orderly and professional hotel entrance while assisting with the movement of taxis and private vehicles. The Doorman will help keep the entrance area clean, organized and presentable throughout the shift while supporting an efficient flow of arriving and departing guests.
Safety and Operational Support
* Coordinate with Front Office and Security to support safe and smooth hotel operations.
* Remain alert to activities around the hotel entrance and immediately report suspicious behavior or safety concerns to Security.
* Maintain basic awareness of applicable hotel safety and security procedures.
* Communicate relevant operational information to the incoming shift to ensure continuity of service.
* Follow hotel procedures and instructions while carrying out assigned entrance duties.
Professional Standards
The Doorman is expected to maintain a professional appearance and comply with hotel grooming standards at all times. A courteous manner, strong interpersonal skills and consistent attention to guest needs are essential when representing the hotel at its main entrance.
Qualifications and Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or a similar hotel role is preferred.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Professional appearance and courteous approach to guest service.
* Additional language skills are an advantage.
* Physically able to stand for extended periods.
* Willingness to work flexible shifts.
* Basic knowledge of hotel services, safety and security procedures.
