IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a skilled Electrician to join the engineering team at voco Dubai. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and upgrading electrical systems across the hotel, ensuring compliance with safety standards while supporting smooth day-to-day operations. This position plays a key role in keeping our guests comfortable and our facilities operating efficiently.

What You’ll Do
* Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, HVAC, and equipment
* Diagnose faults and complete repairs quickly to minimize disruption to guests and staff
* Install and upgrade electrical systems, ensuring compliance with codes, safety
regulations, and IHG standards
* Monitor energy usage and implement energy-saving initiatives with the engineering team
* Respond promptly to electrical emergencies to ensure safety and continuous operation
* Maintain accurate documentation of electrical work, maintenance schedules, and repair records
* Collaborate with other engineering staff and external contractors on specialized or large-scale projects
* Deliver professional service by resolving electrical issues in guest rooms and hotel facilities with minimal disruption
Ideal Profile
* Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and electrical codes
* Hands-on experience with testing tools, electrical equipment, and troubleshooting techniques
* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure during emergencies
* Strong communication skills and team-oriented approach
* Capable of working independently while managing multiple tasks effectively
