The Fitness Instructor encourages hotel guests to participate confidently in exercise, sports and healthy-living activities. By
combining knowledgeable instruction with equipment supervision and personalized engagement, the role strengthens guest satisfaction while promoting safe and active resort experiences.
Key Responsibilities
The position covers fitness instruction, recreational coordination, equipment care and wellness-event support.
* Deliver professional and approachable service throughout fitness and recreation areas.
* Ensure guest interactions meet or exceed resort operating standards.
* Place guest and employee health and safety at the centre of all activities.
* Conduct fitness sessions according to approved training principles.
* Coordinate sports, exercise and recreational activities.
* Explain the benefits of physical activity and healthy lifestyle choices.
* Engage guests of different ages and fitness levels through positive encouragement.
* Adapt instruction according to individual ability and safety considerations.
* Observe participants and correct unsafe exercise techniques.
* Help plan themed fitness programs, wellness activities and special events.
* Collaborate with colleagues to execute scheduled recreational experiences.
* Recommend new attractions and activities that encourage guest participation.
* Maintain guest and employee confidentiality.
* Conduct inventories of operating equipment according to audit requirements.
* Monitor equipment usage and help control operational costs.
* Inspect gym equipment, sports gear and activity spaces regularly.
* Confirm that fitness machines remain in safe working condition.
* Report damaged or defective equipment for immediate attention.
* Clean and sanitize equipment according to hygiene procedures.
* Keep fitness and recreational areas orderly and ready for guest use.
* Follow departmental safety, service and operating policies.
* Complete additional responsibilities assigned by management.
Ideal Profile
Applicants must hold an internationally recognized personal-training certification and have at least one year of experience in a comparable role. Previous experience within the Hospitality industry is preferred.
The successful candidate will communicate confidently, demonstrate enthusiasm for health and wellness and motivate guests through clear instruction and positive reinforcement. The ability to work with different age groups and fitness abilities is essential.
