Position Overview
The General Technician role at InterContinental Fujairah Resort supports safe, efficient, and reliable hotel operations by carrying out preventive and routine maintenance of HVAC, refrigeration, and plant equipment. This position contributes to energy conservation, fire life safety, and high guest satisfaction within a five-star resort environment.

Key Responsibilities
* Implement hotel policies, standards, and procedures related to energy conservation, fire prevention, and life safety programs
* Carry out effective preventive and routine maintenance of refrigeration and HVAC plant and equipment
* Coordinate and follow up with service companies during equipment breakdowns under the direction of the Engineering Manager
* Support departmental budget execution with a focus on energy management and preventive maintenance
* Work with contractors and subcontractors to ensure maintenance and repair work meets quality standards
* Arrange and support repair works, renovations, and replacement of furnishings and equipment when required
* Ensure tools and equipment are stored safely and maintained in working condition
* Coordinate with other departments to ensure satisfaction with maintenance quality and progress
* Remain familiar with hotel emergency procedures and support emergency response when required
* Observe departmental disciplinary and operational procedures
* Deliver high levels of guest service and provide practical solutions to guest concerns
* Promote continuous improvement and guest satisfaction during departmental meetings
* Implement assigned energy conservation initiatives across the property
* Conduct ongoing inspections of plant and equipment to determine maintenance requirements
* Support Fire Life Safety program activities as assigned
Ideal Profile
* Previous experience in a general technician or maintenance role within a hotel or resort environment
* Working knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration systems, and preventive maintenance practices
* Understanding of energy management and fire life safety requirements
* Ability to coordinate with contractors and internal teams effectively
* Strong problem-solving skills with attention to safety and quality
* Customer-focused approach with a professional and positive attitude
* Ability to work flexible shifts as required
