Guest Environment Expert - Housekeeping

plays a direct role in shaping the guest experience by ensuring rooms, corridors, public spaces, service areas, and housekeeping supplies are maintained to high luxury hotel standards. The role is not limited to cleaning rooms; it includes responding to guest needs, refreshing amenities, stocking carts, supporting deep cleaning tasks, protecting confidentiality, and helping create a welcoming environment throughout the property. Strong housekeeping execution helps improve guest comfort, hotel presentation, operational readiness, and overall service quality.

Core Duties

* Clean guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and assigned hotel areas according to established housekeeping standards.
* Maintain public spaces, back-of-house areas, service zones, and guest-facing areas in a clean and presentable condition.
* Stock housekeeping carts with linen, towels, amenities, cleaning supplies, and required operational items.
* Deliver guest requests such as extra towels, amenities, bedding, and other room-related items in a timely and professional manner.
* Make beds, replace linen, refresh room supplies, remove waste, clean surfaces, and restore rooms for guest comfort.
* Inspect assigned areas for cleanliness, maintenance needs, missing items, safety concerns, or presentation issues.
* Report maintenance faults, damaged items, lost property, or unusual room conditions through the proper hotel process.
* Follow safety procedures when using cleaning products, equipment, carts, ladders, and other housekeeping tools.
* Maintain confidentiality regarding guest information, room status, personal belongings, and hotel matters.
* Uphold professional grooming, uniform standards, communication expectations, and quality service behavior.
* Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place housekeeping items weighing up to required limits during daily duties.
* Work actively across assigned spaces while standing, walking, bending, reaching, and completing hands-on cleaning tasks.
* Support team members during high occupancy, room turnover periods, special requests, and operational priorities.
* Complete reasonable duties assigned by supervisors while maintaining guest comfort and hotel cleanliness.

Ideal Profile

* Previous housekeeping, hotel cleaning, room attendant, public area cleaning, or janitorial experience is preferred but not mandatory.
* Ability to work in a full-time, non-management housekeeping role within an active hotel environment.
* Strong attention to cleanliness, room presentation, hygiene, and small details that affect guest satisfaction.
* Physically able to stand, walk, lift, carry, push, pull, and perform hands-on cleaning tasks for extended periods.
* Comfortable moving housekeeping items up to 50 pounds without assistance where required by the role.
* Professional appearance with the ability to follow grooming, uniform, safety, and hotel service standards.
* Respectful attitude toward guest privacy, confidentiality, personal belongings, and room security.
* Reliable, punctual, and able to manage assigned tasks with minimal supervision once trained.
