Guest Service Expert - Restaurant helps deliver a smooth and memorable dining journey by supporting both guest-facing service and behind-the-scenes restaurant preparation. The role involves setting tables, serving food and beverages, communicating with kitchen teams, maintaining clean service spaces, and responding to guest needs with care and professionalism. What You’ll Do
* Prepare dining tables, service counters, restaurant supplies, cutlery, glassware, and guest areas before, during, and after service.
* Serve food and beverages with accuracy, warmth, and attention to timing, presentation, and guest comfort.
* Coordinate with kitchen colleagues to confirm order details, special requests, dietary notes, and service sequence.
* Engage with guests in a courteous manner, answer basic menu questions, and support a welcoming restaurant experience.
* Keep work areas, service stations, dining spaces, and equipment clean, organized, and aligned with hotel hygiene standards.
* Follow company policies, quality standards, grooming expectations, food safety practices, and workplace safety procedures.
* Read and verify menu information, guest orders, bills, and service instructions to reduce errors during meal periods.
* Support guest transactions and service moments so the overall experience feels thoughtful, personal, and well managed.
* Work actively on the floor while standing, walking, bending, reaching, twisting, pulling, and stooping as required.
* Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place service items safely within the required physical guidelines.
* Assist the team during busy restaurant periods, events, special dining requests, and changing operational needs.
* Complete reasonable duties assigned by supervisors while maintaining a calm, professional, and guest-focused approach.
Required Skills and Experience
* High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent education is preferred.
* Less than 1 year of related experience in restaurant service, hotel operations, food and beverage, or guest service is acceptable.
* No supervisory experience is required.
* No license or certification is required.
* Interest in building a career in luxury hospitality, restaurant service, and food and beverage operations.
* Ability to communicate professionally with guests, supervisors, culinary teams, and service colleagues.
* Comfortable working on the floor for extended periods in an active restaurant or hotel environment.
* Ability to work around sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces while maintaining safety awareness.
* Physically able to lift and move service items according to role requirements, with assistance where needed.
