Head Chef - Albie Restaurant

Lead the culinary vision at Albie Restaurant, The Hoxton Southwark’s neighborhood dining destination in London, England. This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned Head Chef ready to manage a high-energy kitchen and elevate a diverse, international menu inspired by the vibrant South Bank community.

This role offers the chance to lead a dynamic kitchen team in a bustling, upscale setting. You will drive creativity and efficiency, ensure the highest quality standards, and provide strong leadership while keeping team morale high. The position includes a strong emphasis on team empowerment and menu innovation with a classic touch.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and motivate a large kitchen brigade, fostering a culture of collaboration and creativity
* Design and oversee menu development aligned with Hoxton standards and guest expectations
* Control food costs and kitchen efficiency without compromising on quality
* Oversee stock levels, kitchen hygiene, and all food safety compliance
* Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service
* Train junior chefs and encourage skills development across the kitchen
* Maintain high standards of presentation, consistency, and guest satisfaction

Experience and Skills Required

* Minimum 2 years\' experience as a Head Chef in a fast-paced, high-end restaurant environment
* Deep knowledge of ingredient sourcing, seasonal cooking, and contemporary menu planning
* Proven experience managing large teams and high-volume service
* Strong understanding of food costs, GP targets, and kitchen operations
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* Comfortable balancing creativity with brand consistency
* Passionate about hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences
