This role is ideal for individuals with strong communication skills, restaurant experience, and a passion for delivering a refined guest experience in a historically rich hospitality setting.

Job Overview – Guest Greeting and Front-of-House Coordination
As a Hostess, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming and organized dining experience by managing reservations, seating plans, and guest arrivals. You\'ll coordinate closely with the service team to ensure smooth table turnovers and personalized service for every guest. Your role will also include answering phone inquiries, managing to-go orders, and handling billing for specific guest transactions.
What You’ll Do
* Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide estimated wait times as needed
* Monitor the restaurant’s waiting list and manage table allocations using the reservation system
* Maintain awareness of current promotions and assist with guest handoff to service staff
* Coordinate reservation details, special requests, and dietary preferences
* Answer incoming calls to assist with inquiries, reservations, or take-out orders
* Handle guest bills for to-go or non-dining transactions, verifying order details and processing payments
* Ensure all hostess station areas are clean, presentable, and stocked with menus or collateral
* Maintain a positive and professional attitude under pressure and during busy periods
* Bid guests farewell with courtesy and professionalism, ensuring a lasting impression
* Collaborate with waitstaff, kitchen, and management for seamless service
Ideal Profile – Professional and Guest-Focused
* Minimum 1 year experience in a hostess or guest services role in a hotel or upscale restaurant
* Proficiency in Micros POS system is preferred
* Fluent in English; other languages are a plus
* Strong guest interaction skills and telephone etiquette
* Calm, courteous, and presentable with strong attention to detail
* Hospitality background preferred with an understanding of seating flow and guest satisfaction
* Able to multitask, remain organized, and manage queues or unexpected guest flow
* Flexible with work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
