The position combines visible guest engagement with behind-the-scenes leadership. It will influence staffing, employee development, workplace safety, cost control, productivity and the property’s ability to meet or exceed its performance objectives.
Key Responsibilities
The manager will translate property goals into practical departmental standards and measurable daily actions.
* Direct daily operations across two assigned hotel departments.
* Manage employees and coordinate departmental priorities.
* Verify compliance with brand standards and operating procedures.
* Remain visible, approachable and available to guests.
* Maintain professional and courteous guest interactions.
* Respond promptly to customer-service requests.
* Help employees recognize and exceed changing guest expectations.
* Ensure supervisors and employees understand the brand’s service culture.
* Implement the property emergency plan.
* Maintain safe working conditions and accident-prevention procedures.
* Support compliance with applicable safety and chemical-handling standards.
* Maintain an effective key-control program.
* Apply property-specific service-recovery procedures.
* Review financial statements, sales reports and activity data.
* Measure productivity and progress toward departmental goals.
* Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
* Guide employee scheduling against occupancy and labor-hour requirements.
* Use the approved scheduling tool to align staffing with demand.
* Discuss and remove barriers affecting team performance.
* Communicate guest-tracking and productivity goals clearly.
* Ensure the team has the skills and resources required to perform.

Ideal Profile
The successful candidate will be a confident and energetic hotel leader who can balance guest expectations with employee needs and financial responsibilities. They should communicate clearly, lead by example and use operational information to improve performance.
Candidates may qualify through either route:
* High school diploma or equivalent with at least 4 years of experience in guest services, Front Office, Housekeeping or a related area.
* Two-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or a related discipline with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
The ideal candidate will also demonstrate:
