Role Context
The Housekeeping Floor Supervisor ensures that every assigned room and corridor reflects the cleanliness, safety and presentation expected
in a five-star hotel. The role directs Room Attendants, verifies completed work and coordinates operational concerns with Housekeeping, Front Office, Engineering and Security.
Key Responsibilities
Daily floor leadership includes employee briefings, detailed room inspections, guest-service follow-up and accurate shift reporting.
* Conduct daily briefings for Room Attendants.
* Inspect employee grooming and reinforce professional presentation standards.
* Check guest rooms, corridors, pantries and service areas every day.
* Conduct physical inspections of occupied, vacant and departure rooms at 13:00.
* Verify that rooms meet established cleanliness, hygiene and setup requirements.
* Give special attention to rooms prepared for priority guests.
* Inspect all departure rooms before releasing their status.
* Provide practical on-the-job training to Room Attendants.
* Supervise Room Attendants and Public Area Attendants assigned to the floor.
* Maintain positive employee relations and encourage effective teamwork.
* Inspect cleaning equipment and machines for safe operating condition.
* Prepare maintenance job orders and coordinate follow-up with Engineering.
* Track incomplete repairs until the required work has been completed.
* Report room damage caused by guests to the Housekeeper.
* Prepare room-discrepancy reports for Front Office.
* Maintain an accurate inventory of guest-room linen.
* Follow up on rooms displaying a Do Not Disturb sign according to hotel procedures.
* Ensure Room Attendants follow approved procedures when entering and leaving guest rooms.
* Arrange room and floor fumigation according to operational requirements.
* Report lost-and-found property immediately to Housekeeping.
* Inform the Housekeeper and Security about suspicious persons or unusual activity in guest corridors.
* Escalate concerns involving sick or distressed guests for immediate assistance.
* Monitor the positioning of housekeeping trolleys in guest corridors.
* Ensure trolleys are placed safely at room entrances during cleaning.
* Water and replace flowers according to the established schedule.
* Check flower arrangements before delivery to guest rooms.
* Handle guest-service matters within the assigned station.
* Maintain the cleanliness and condition of rooms, corridors, pantries and service areas.
* Attend daily housekeeping management briefings.
* Complete detailed handovers between outgoing and incoming shifts.
* Remain informed about daily hotel activities and service priorities.
* Maintain professional grooming and respectful cooperation with other departments.
Ideal Profile
Candidates should hold a university degree in any field and have at least two years of experience in a comparable housekeeping supervisory role within a five-star hotel. Previous responsibility for Room Attendants, room inspections and floor operations is required.
