We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Junior Sous Chef to join the Main Kitchen team at Jumeirah Al Naseem in Dubai, UAE. This position is part of the prestigious Jumeirah Hospitality Programme and offers a unique opportunity to develop within one of the region’s most iconic beachfront resorts. The Junior Sous Chef will assist in kitchen supervision, quality control, recipe development, and team coordination while ensuring the highest standards of culinary excellence.

Job Overview
The Junior Sous Chef role at Jumeirah Al Naseem requires strong culinary skills, team leadership, and a passion for excellence in fine dining. This role supports the Sous Chef and Chef de Cuisine in daily kitchen operations, recipe development, training junior staff, and ensuring adherence to food safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will be an Emirati national with hands-on experience in 5-star properties or premium restaurant brands and strong familiarity with international kitchen practices.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist Chef de Cuisine and Sous Chef in supervising and developing kitchen staff
* Contribute to menu planning, recipe testing, and kitchen briefings
* Write and maintain standard recipes and product specifications
* Plan and adjust staff rosters, manage overtime and leave schedules
* Work closely with the Stewarding team to maintain hygiene and cleanliness standards
* Monitor kitchen resource utilization and support efficient kitchen operations
* Lead by example in cooking, training, and upholding Jumeirah’s quality benchmarks

Reporting & MIS

* Attend and contribute to daily culinary briefings with the Executive Chef team
* Maintain documentation for recipes, rosters, stock usage, and quality records
* Contribute to continuous improvement processes within the kitchen operation

Required Qualifications and Skills

* UAE National with valid Family Book (as per government requirements)
* Minimum 2 years’ experience as Junior Sous Chef in luxury hospitality or branded restaurant
* Diploma in Catering required; certification in Health & Safety preferred
* Strong English communication skills, both spoken and written
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Opera PMS (Cloud), and HotSoS
