Job Overview
As a Maintenance Assistant, you will carry out cleaning, basic repairs, and maintenance activities across QACC’s catering facilities. You will support the maintenance technicians by performing daily upkeep on air conditioning grills, lighting, drainage lines, and equipment, while ensuring compliance with safety and hygiene protocols. This role is essential in preventing equipment breakdowns and delays in operational service.
What You’ll Do
* Clean air conditioning grills, light fittings, exhaust hoods, and other fixtures according to maintenance schedules
* Perform routine servicing of equipment across QACC facilities
* Attend minor plumbing and drainage repair works in assigned areas
* Assist senior maintenance technicians with repair and troubleshooting tasks
* Maintain daily work logs and update task documentation accurately
* Coordinate with maintenance agents to ensure timely job completion
* Follow strict hygiene and safety standards as mandated by the organization
* Immediately report any building non-compliance or hazards to supervisors
* Support other tasks and departmental duties as assigned by the Head of Department
Ideal Profile
* High School Qualification or Bachelor’s Degree with 1–2 years of relevant experience
* Basic knowledge in electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
* Ability to assist with troubleshooting of HVAC, refrigeration, or drainage systems
* Familiar with tools, cleaning agents, and maintenance documentation practices
* Basic English communication skills (spoken and written)
* Ability to work in a high-paced industrial environment with a strong sense of responsibility
