Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure Front Office services are available and delivered efficiently and courteously, resolving guest issues according to the Rooms Operations Manual.
- Undertake duty management shifts, including nights, and oversee guest safety and well-being in the absence of senior management.
- Maintain knowledge of credit policies and collaborate with the Finance Department to ensure proper credit procedures.
- Assist the sales team during peak periods, resolving booking conflicts and accommodating guest needs per Group standards.
- Plan and implement effective upselling activities to maximize room revenue through strategic rate management.
- Review expected arrivals to ensure guest preferences and amenities are prepared in advance.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to service incoming groups and welcome regular and VIP guests per One&Only protocols.
- Meet regularly with Front Office Supervisors to ensure smooth department operations and communication.
- Manage daily Front Office operations, fostering teamwork and high performance while liaising with internal and external parties.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures to provide world-class hospitality.
- Recommend and implement improvements to Front Office policies, ensuring adherence to standards while delivering quality service.
- Motivate staff and identify opportunities for participation in change initiatives and process improvements.
- Ensure prompt and courteous service to maximize guest satisfaction and meet all special requests ethically.
- Actively seek guest feedback to enhance satisfaction and ensure reservations accommodate special requests.
- Facilitate efficient arrival and departure processes for all guests and maintain accurate room folios and payments.
- Oversee luggage and buggy service operations, addressing difficult situations effectively.
- Monitor supply quantities, costs, and quality, and manage work organization within the department.
- Conduct departmental briefings and meetings, ensuring staff schedules align with operational demands.
- Prepare daily reports accurately and timely, collaborating closely with the Reservations team for reservation accuracy.
- Assist with reception duties during high-demand periods and report guest concerns via the Daily Logbook.
- Maintain professional relationships with travel agents, guests, and competitors to incorporate service improvements.
- Provide training to enhance skills and promote multi-functionality among team members.
- Monitor key performance indicators and take corrective actions as needed.
- Keep the Housekeeping Manager informed of any significant issues.
