Job Overview
The Mixologist - Assistant Bar Manager will be responsible for creating unforgettable beverage experiences that reflect Jumeirah’s signature luxury. This role combines hands-on mixology expertise with leadership, guest engagement, and staff training to elevate the bar’s performance and reputation.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare signature cocktails and beverages consistently to brand and luxury service standards
* Lead bar operations while ensuring compliance with local licensing laws and responsible alcohol service
* Train and mentor junior bartenders and bar staff, sharing advanced mixology techniques and service etiquette
* Actively engage with guests to deliver a high-end personalized experience and gather real-time feedback
* Monitor quality control, bar hygiene, stock rotation, and presentation standards across all service hours
* Contribute to team development through performance reviews, feedback sessions, and internal development plans
* Communicate any service concerns, equipment issues, or guest feedback promptly to management
Job Requirements
* Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a similar role at a 5-star luxury hotel or premium standalone restaurant
* In-depth knowledge of spirits, wines, and cocktails, along with food-pairing techniques
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, Micros POS, and Sevenrooms reservation platform
* Confident handling high-pressure service environments and resolving guest complaints
* Bilingual proficiency preferred – English plus Russian or a European language
* Demonstrated ability to lead and develop diverse teams in multicultural environments
