About the Role
As a Painter, you will carry out painting, refinishing and cosmetic repair work across the resort while maintaining the presentation standards expected within a luxury hospitality environment.
The position requires careful surface preparation, accurate color and finish matching,
quality application techniques and proactive identification of areas requiring repair or refurbishment.
Painting and Finishing
* Perform painting, repainting, touch-up and finishing work in guest rooms and corridors.
* Maintain painted surfaces across restaurants, banquet areas and public spaces.
* Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding and scraping before painting.
* Fill cracks and apply appropriate primers.
* Match paint colors and finishes with existing decor and resort standards.
* Apply decorative and specialized finishes to walls and ceilings.
* Repair damaged walls, ceilings, drywall and woodwork before finishing.
* Apply paint, varnish, stains, sealants and related finishes.
* Use brushes, rollers and spray equipment according to the work requirement.
* Identify paint defects and complete high-quality corrective repairs.
Preventive and Corrective Maintenance
Regularly inspect resort areas to identify painting, finishing and cosmetic maintenance requirements before they affect presentation standards.
Complete assigned preventive and corrective maintenance work orders within established timelines and support other maintenance activities when assigned by the Engineering Supervisor.
Operational Coordination
* Coordinate with Housekeeping, Front Office and other departments when scheduling work.
* Plan activities to minimize disruption to guests and resort operations.
* Protect surrounding areas before beginning maintenance work.
* Keep work locations clean, organized and safe during and after each task.
* Maintain painting tools and equipment in good working condition.
* Monitor paint and material inventory.
* Report replenishment requirements when stock is required.
Safety and Material Handling
All work must follow applicable health, safety, fire and environmental requirements. This includes appropriate handling, use and storage of paints, solvents, chemicals and other finishing materials.

You should have practical knowledge of surface preparation, painting techniques and decorative finishes, together with the ability to recognize paint defects and complete repairs to a high standard.
